Wedding Content Creator in Portugal

From the palaces of Sintra to the vineyards of the Douro Valley and the dunes of Comporta, I capture your wedding in Portugal as it unfolds, quietly and with an editorial eye. I’m Sylvie, a destination wedding content creator based in France, and your first highlight reel arrives within 48 hours, while your guests are still talking about it.

Portugal, close to my heart

Portugal is more than a destination for me. I’m of Portuguese origin, and this country has always felt a little like home: the soft light over the Tagus, the azulejos, the long family tables that go on until the early hours. Filming a wedding here means something special to me.

I speak Portuguese, as well as English, French and Spanish. On your wedding day, that makes a real difference: I talk easily with your planner, the venue team, the musicians and the caterers, and I follow the rhythm of a Portuguese celebration, from the late dinner to the dance floor that never quite empties.

Before becoming a wedding content creator, I spent 7 years as a wedding planner. So I know when to step in, and when to stay discreet.

Where I film weddings in Portugal

Portugal packs an incredible variety of settings into one small country. Here are the regions I love most, and some of the venues where I would love to capture your day.

Lisbon & Sintra

Lisbon is the easiest gateway for couples flying in from the US, the UK or Dubai, and a perfect city for a welcome dinner or an intimate ceremony. Less than an hour away, Sintra feels like a storybook, with its misty hills, palaces and romantic gardens. Think of an 18th-century palace such as Valverde Sintra Palácio de Seteais, the historic gardens of Penha Longa Resort, Quinta da Bella Vista, the gardens of Queluz National Palace, or a countryside quinta near Mafra.

Porto, Braga & the Douro Valley

In the north, Porto pairs baroque palaces with views over the Douro River, like Pestana Palácio do Freixo. Further upstream, terraced vineyards plunge down to the water: Six Senses Douro Valley and the wine estates of the valley are made for couples who love wine, nature and long dinners under the stars. Around Braga and Guimarães, the north feels greener and more intimate: Lago dos Cisnes, with its lake and palm trees, offers a romantic, almost tropical setting, while historic manors such as Casa de Sezim bring a quieter, family feel.

Évora & the Alentejo

Whitewashed villages, cork oaks and endless plains: the Alentejo is Portugal at its most authentic, and its most design-led. Couples choose estates like São Lourenço do Barrocal near Monsaraz, the striking underground winery of Herdade do Freixo, Herdade da Malhadinha Nova among the olive trees, or Convento do Espinheiro, a former convent near Évora, for a candlelit wedding full of character.

Comporta & the Atlantic coast

Rice fields, wild dunes and pine forests: Comporta is the relaxed, barefoot side of Portugal, with venues such as Sublime Comporta and its beach clubs made for a sunset ceremony. Further along the coast, Ericeira and the wild Costa Vicentina offer ocean views and a laid-back surf-town charm.

The Algarve & Madeira

Golden cliffs, hidden coves and turquoise water: the Algarve is made for summer weddings, from clifftop resorts like Vila Vita Parc to private villas by the sea. And for an island celebration, Madeira and the legendary Reid’s Palace are only a short flight away.
